This 14-day immersive international study program in the USA explores the arts, offering a unique experience. It emphasises the creative process, finding your voice, and development—bringing together top STEAM organisations, creative industry leaders, and esteemed arts institutions for a unique learning experience.

CASE Film & Arts School cultivates young leaders, nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills for any study path.

Program Framework

 

The program framework offers three key pillars including Arts Immersion, Entrepreneurial Creativity and Personal Growth. All of this is supported by Wagner’s Seven Survival Skills.  

Returning from the expedition, students will have gained the necessary tools to think creatively and lead with innovation, enabling them to navigate their future with confidence and adaptability.

CASE Film & Arts School International Study Program is accredited and approved in the USA as an Honors Level College Preparatory course

CASE Film & Arts School is academically accredited and approved in the USA as recognised Honors Level College Preparatory courses. University of California (UC) approval demonstrates these courses are of high academic standard to prepare students for university-level studies. It ensures that CASE Film & Arts School graduates are identified by leading universities as high achieving, university-ready students.

In the competitive landscape of university applications both domestically and internationally, students who complete CASE Film & Arts School International Study Program will differentiate themselves from other applicants.

All graduates of CASE Film & Arts School International Study Program are eligible to receive a 5.0GPA academic transcript upon completion of the program. The registration fee covers ongoing access to the transcript through a secure portal giving students a distinct advantage when applying to universities and jobs.

Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award

 

CASE Film & Arts School program blends online and in-person exploration of Tony Wagner’s Seven Survival Skills. Duke of Ed participants will learn and be assessed on these skills pre- and post-expedition using structured eLearning. They will also engage in dynamic workshops during their overseas experience.

After this, participants will understand the meaning of these survival skills and how to apply them in their daily lives and future careers.

Immersive Activities

 
Stage I – Analysis
 

The Analysis learning stage emphasizes arts immersion, providing a hands-on educational experience for personal and professional growth. Students actively engage in curated creative activities within the arts, gaining exposure to fresh perspectives on artistic expression. This immersive approach enables the application of knowledge in their ChallengeX project.

Stage II – Synthesis
 

The Synthesis learning stage equips students with skills applicable to their personal and professional lives. Building on their newfound knowledge, students actively explore and apply gained skills through a variety of specialised arts and creative workshops. These new learnt skills are then applied throughout their ChallengeX project. By participating in these workshops, students not only build individual skills but also foster a strong sense of teamwork. 

Stage III – Thesis
 

The Thesis stage students apply their recently acquired expertise, showcasing them at the ChallengeX Film Festival. They utilise the critical thinking and problem-solving abilities acquired during the program.

ChallengeX Festival: Emphasizing the creative journey and discovering one’s voice, students collaborate in small groups to craft engaging short films, showcasing their newfound technical and creative skills. Similar to The Academy Awards, the festival acknowledges exceptional achievements across diverse categories.

mPOWER Personal Development

Each morning students engage in mPOWER modules aimed to provide principles and guidance for their future endeavours. As part of the mPOWER module, the Disciplined Dreaming Framework inspires creativity, fostering the right attitude and strategies for success in life. Based on Josh Linkner’s book ‘Disciplined Dreaming’, students will explore the 5 Step system to drive breakthrough creativity during their time at CASE Film & Arts School International Study Program.

Define the creative challenge through inquiry-based learning strategies like journaling and mind mapping

Maximise creativity through mental and physical preparation activities like reading, researching and creating a vision board
